Further Product Details
Bioglitter® replaces the polyester film used in traditional glitter with cellulose from hardwoods, primarily eucalyptus sourced from responsibly managed and certified plantations operating PEFC standards.
Bioglitter® does not dissolve in water and is completely durable, but will biodegrade in the natural environment with the help of bacteria and other microorganisms.
* Bioglitter® is 92% plastic free. The additional 8% is the coating, which is necessary to give the colour and performance. This is a water based acrylic type coating, not dissimilar to a water-based paint or ink. It has been tested for eco-toxicity and shown not to contain any nasties that would pollute the environment. However it is technically a plastic.
