This beautifully illustrated Sinterklaas and Advent countdown calendar is a magical keepsake piece that brings a little daily wonder to the weeks before Christmas. Behind each of its 24 tiny doors lies a colourful scene from the enchanting world of Sinterklaas — a new moment to discover and delight in every day.
The calendar unfolds into 3 gracefully illustrated arches, creating a charming winter scene to display on a shelf or windowsill. Whether you follow the traditional Sinterklaas countdown from 12th November to 5th December, or open one door each day throughout Advent, it has a gentle rhythm that feels like a small, joyful ritual.
Illustrated by Bijdehansje, whose work has a timeless, storybook quality that feels special rather than mass-produced — the kind of thing children and grown-ups alike linger over.
We love the choice of sustainably produced natural paper, free from added optical brighteners. Its warm, off-white tone and matte, uncoated finish give the illustrations a softness that glossy paper simply doesn't have.
Printed in the Netherlands, with real care given to the materials and finish. It feels like a calendar worth keeping and enjoying, rather than something to simply use and put away.
