An ideal starter construction set that also invites trickier constructions to challenge older builders. Have fun discovering the countless combination of possibilities that arise from connecting the individual parts!

This unusual building set made of oiled alder wood impresses with its particularly beautiful and unique grain, with annual rings or small knotholes to discover.

Set includes: 19 building blocks with felt in a wooden frame.

Materials: alder wood, non-toxic plant based oil finish.

Size: 44.5cm x 44.5cm, single blocks are 4cm thick

Great for castle building!

"I bought this set a few months ago and have been trying it out on different age children (I'm a Nanny). I would say children from age 3 and up to about age 10 will love this set. It has interesting enough shapes that even adults can enjoy it and make quite complex constructions using other blocks as well, and with a little support, the smaller children will enjoy using it as a puzzle and fitting the shapes together. It goes particularly well with the Grimms creative square puzzle. It makes beautiful castles and other buildings. I would say that on its own there aren't really enough blocks to make a complete/larger building or dwelling, but combined with other sets like the Grimm's 1001 Nights or the Grimm's LSP, this is a really useful addition to your construction collection! We have also found that the Tickit perception cubes make beautiful stained glass windows in our Grimm's castles, as they are almost 4 cm square, transparent and colourful."
