Combi Box | 85 Pieces

About Bauspiel Combi Box | 85 Pieces

The Bauspiel Combi Box K85 is a beautifully versatile wooden construction set that brings together 85 pieces of colourful building potential in one tidy package. Combining long wooden rods and square mosaic tiles, it invites children to lay out patterns, build structures, and simply follow their imagination wherever it leads — a truly open-ended play experience with no fixed outcome and no wrong answers.

Children might spread the pieces into a sweeping rainbow mosaic, experiment with balance and form, or combine them with other wooden building blocks for bigger, more ambitious creations. Everything packs away neatly into the included beech wood storage box with its sliding Plexiglas lid, making tidying up a satisfying part of the routine and keeping all 85 pieces together and ready for next time.

Why We Love It

• This set does something rather clever — it combines construction play and mosaic pattern making in one, giving children two distinct creative languages to explore with the same pieces.

• The open-ended nature means there is no instruction sheet to follow and no right way to play, which is exactly the kind of freedom that leads to genuinely original thinking and self-directed discovery.

• The long rods and small mosaic tiles work at very different scales, quietly encouraging spatial awareness and an intuitive understanding of proportion and balance.
