Hrokur Icelandic Horse

Meet Hrokur — the newest and most spirited member of the Ostheimer wooden horse family. A little smaller than the others and sometimes mistaken for a pony, Hrokur is unmistakably Icelandic: strong, free-loving, and ready to gallop across the pasture with a flowing mane. Look closely and you'll spot the special mark on his forehead — a detail he's rather proud of. His name, pronounced "Roo-kür," means "tower" in Icelandic, and it suits him beautifully.

Handcrafted with great care and coloured with selected paints, this figure from the beloved Ostheimer farm animals collection is the kind of toy that grows with a child.  A companion picture book, Hrókur and the Skyriders, is also available. It tells the story of his longing for his Icelandic homeland — a wonderful addition for little ones who want to know him even better.
