The January design shows Bracken the gnome singing to an old apple tree while Edith and JK warm their hands around cups of apple tea. A hedgehog, a fox and a robin gather close in the snow-covered woods. The scene draws on the old English custom of wassailing — singing to the apple trees in deep winter to wish them a good harvest in the year ahead.
