My little girl was super excited when she saw the kit arrive at the shop. She loves anything to do with eggs, and painting them? Well, it's a dream come true for a 3-year-old!

I've always been a fan of painting real eggs for the Easter table so I wasn't sure about painting wooden eggs. But after giving it a go, I realised this kit is a brilliant family activity - so easy to use with bright, eco-friendly colours. You can repaint them the following year or use as they are. 

Mix the colours with a little water, ideally in a glass jar with lid. This will stop the paint from drying out and can be used again in the future.

My daughter wanted to first draw on the wooden egg, which she did using her crayons before painting them. You can really be inventive and creative when decorating the eggs and you don't just have to use the paints included in the kit. We started by painting all the eggs a base colour, then decorated them with different coloured paints and designs. 

For shiny, waterproof eggs, mix 4 parts olive oil to 1 part melted bees wax and polish on your eggs with a rag.
